Datadog is an observability platform that supports every phase of software development on any stack. Datadog delivers complete visibility into the performance of modern applications and helps you build, test, monitor, debug, optimize, and secure your software in one place through its fully unified platform. By reducing the number of tools needed to troubleshoot performance problems, Datadog reduces the time needed to detect and resolve issues. With vendor-backed integrations for 750+ technologies and focus on ease of use, Datadog is the leading choice for infrastructure and software engineering teams looking to improve cross-team collaboration, accelerate development cycles, and reduce operational and development costs.
The Datadog ServiceNow integration is a two-way integration that allows you to publish Datadog-generated events to ServiceNow tickets, as well as manage the resolution workflow from within Datadog through IT service management (ITSM) and IT operations management (ITOM).
1. Store correlated alerts from Datadog in ServiceNow
2. Syncing Datadog incidents when changes are made to ServiceNow incident's impact and urgency values
This release contains changes for the Datadog Event Correlation and Incident App products. The changes support
1. Ingesting correlated alerts from Datadog to ServiceNow. Customers can modify a commented-out example transform map to use values from aggregated correlated alerts to map to fields in the ServiceNow Incident table based on the customer's use cases.
2. Adding business rules so that when a given ServiceNow incident's impact or urgency is changed, that incident data is sent to Datadog to update Datadog incidents.
Storing correlated alerts
- Requires ServiceNow Vancouver or newer, plus ITSM module or ITOM module
Syncing with Datadog incidents
- Requires ServiceNow Vancouver or newer, plus ITSM module
Note: Each of these features of the Datadog integration can be used independently.
