The ServiceNow® Care Team Operations for Facilities application is built on the Healthcare Operations Core platform and includes case types, record producers, and workflows designed to help care teams report issues related to facilities—such as infrastructure, utilities, and equipment-related concerns.
For organizations using Field Service Management, the out-of-the-box workflows synchronize data between the case and the work order. This enables facilities technicians to manage and complete service requests efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of physical environment and operational infrastructure issues raised by care teams.
- Healthcare Facilities Case Type
Extends from the Healthcare Operations case type to support care team facilities requests for your organization’s facilities department, such as utilities, physical environment, and equipment-related concerns. - Care Team Portal Facilities Requests
Request support from your organization’s facilities department using preconfigured record producers, making it easy for care teams to report service needs like temperature control, lighting issues, or equipment malfunctions. - Healthcare Facilities Case and Work Order Synchronization
Care Team Operations for Facilities links facilities cases and work orders. For customers with Field Service Management, care teams gain visibility into all facilities cases reported by their team, while facilities support teams can fulfill those cases as work orders and tasks—without needing to update the case directly.
- Fixed:
- The Australia release introduces enhanced protections for read‑only fields across the ServiceNow AI Platform®. These changes include a new “read_only_option” field with granular control levels, including “strict_read_only” and “client_script_modifiable". The changes occur in the back end and maintain backward‑compatible behavior. This update helps strengthen your instance security while preserving the flexibility you need. If you have custom client scripts that modify ServiceNow‑owned read‑only fields using g_form.setValue() or g_form.clearValue(), refer to KB2718122. This article provides additional technical details on how to identify affected fields and adjust their settings. For more information about granular read-only security options, see Configuring read-only security options.
- If you have the feature administrator role you can now complete tasks that were initially reserved for users with the broader administrator role.
