Integrated with ServiceNow, Armis® synchronizes CI data required for security, with ServiceNow providing a Security Ready CMDB.
- Identify and classify managed / unmanaged devices in real-time
- Monitor device activity to true-up your CMDB with new device details
- Reduce or eliminate duplicate, erroneous, or stale CMDB device information
- Support for the limited device attributes
Version 1.1.1
This is a patch on 1.1.0. The application runs in one of two modes, set by the sn_ot_cas plugin: OT CPS Licensed mode writes the full set of CI attributes and limited mode writes a reduced set.
Changes
- Article Number and Part Number go to the External system metadata table (OT CPS Licensed mode). Imported devices now carry Article Number and Part Number as string values in the External system metadata table (cmdb_key_value_v2), not in the Key Value table (cmdb_key_value). Armis Category, Armis Type and Armis Tag stay in the Key Value table. Article Number is the Armis articleNumberV2, or articleNumber when that is empty. Part Number is the Armis partNumber. A device for which Armis returns neither has no such key value. In limited mode no key values are written to either table, as before.
Other changes
- The installation guide and test plan describe the Key Value V2 behavior.
After upgrading
- Imported field list. If you customized x_armis_ci_sec.import_fields, the upgrade skips it. Make sure the value includes articleNumberV2, articleNumber and partNumber. Without them, no Article Number or Part Number key value is written.
- Existing CIs. The upgrade does not rewrite CIs that already exist. A CI picks up its Key Value V2 rows the next time its device is imported. Any Article Number or Part Number rows already in the Key Value table are not removed.
