The YouDesign Processes (BPM Extension Pack) enhances the YouDesign Models experience by introducing a comprehensive library of BPMN-compliant shapes for process modeling within ServiceNow. Designed for enterprise architects, business analysts, and process designers, it helps teams visualize and standardize business processes with the same intuitive design experience that YouDesign provides.
Organizations often struggle to represent complex workflows clearly within their architecture models. This extension solves that problem by delivering standardized BPMN elements that enable consistent, collaborative process documentation across teams and departments. By unifying process and architecture visualization, the pack helps bridge the gap between business design and operational execution.
Fully dependent on the YouDesign application, the BPM Extension Pack is lightweight, maintenance-free, and requires no additional setup. It ensures users can enrich their YouDesign diagrams with familiar process notations—creating a seamless design environment that accelerates understanding, improves communication, and supports better decision-making.

Version 26.1 brings expandable sub-processes to the BPMN shape library and simpler swimlanes.
What is new in 26.1:
- Sub-processes that expand and collapse. Around 20 reworked sub-process shapes: Sub Process, Ad-hoc Sub Process, Event Sub Process, and the interrupting and non-interrupting event sub-processes for message, timer, conditional, signal, multiple, parallel multiple, escalation, error and compensation. Collapse a sub-process to a single task, or expand it to show the process inside with its relationships intact.
- Simpler swimlanes. New simplified pool and lane layouts that are quicker to set up and rearrange.
- BPMN import. Import BPMN 2.0 XML files exported from other tools through the Migrator; a file with several diagrams becomes several frames on one board, and sub-processes are recognised.
- AI Assistant. Ask for a BPMN process with several actors and get correctly placed pools and lanes, with hand-offs running left to right.
Fixes. Relationships inside a sub-process no longer disappear, pasting a diagram into a sub-process no longer freezes the application, and several sub-process layout issues are resolved.
