The CMDB CI Class Models app is the single source for all new base-system CMDB CI class models defined by ServiceNow.
The app provides customers and ISV partners with classes for the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns apps.
Use the app to obtain and make use of newer class models at a faster pace than with regular family releases.
- Provides base-system CMDB class models for new resources
- Adds new classes and their descriptions to the CMDB class hierarchy
- Creates identification rules and dependent relationships for new classes
New:
- Enhanced user understanding of the CMDB data model by adding detailed in-product descriptions of various CMDB classes and fields. Updated classes include base CMDB, end-user computing, IP Address Management (IPAM), networking, and server data models. The content is added if the Data Model Navigator Store app is installed and is accessible from navigation items in the Data Model Navigator.
- Added the Loss [cmdb_loss] table for tracking and quantifying industrial losses from outages and inefficiencies.
- To facilitate Solo.io integration, added the Gloo Gateway [cmdb_ci_gloo_gateway] marker class in the API Gateway hierarchy.
- Added the Radio Extender [cmdb_ci_radio_extender] table. Radio Extender increases the reach of a telecommunications network by retransmitting signals without boosting. Radio Extender also increases the coverage area of a telecommunications wireless network, typically by creating a new network. Radio Extender can be used to affect the directionality of the signal.
- Added the Node B [cmdb_ci_node_b] table. A 3G/Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) base station located at the cell site facilitates radio transmission and reception to and from mobile devices within a cell. Node B devices connect to and are controlled by a Radio Network Controller (RNC) in the core network.
Changed:
- Added key/value related entries to Network Site, Network Group, Network Interface, and Interface Card. Network Site and Network Group are currently blocked.
- Updated the Google Organization Project [cmdb_ci_gcp_project] class. Added GCP Project Number to capture project number details.
